Puppy Care
Our puppies get excellent care at Dunwood Labs and we do our best to keep them in superb condition. They get plenty of exercise, socialization, veterinary care, and are raised in a clean, temperature-controlled environment. They are handled from day one and get individual care and attention. Before going to new homes our puppies get health examinations by our veterinarian, puppy vaccinations, and are on a de-worming schedule. The Parents
We have high quality dogs from carefully bred bloodlines. Our breeding stock is healthy and free of hereditary problems to our knowledge. We do a lot of research and are very careful with the dogs we use for breeding and which breeders we work with. We keep all our dogs up-to-date with vaccinations and de-worming. We also supplement their diets with NuVet supplements!
Puppy Packets
Our customers receive packets of information that go with each puppy, they normally include: Health Certificates, Birth Certificates, Family Trees, Bill of Sale, Written Health Guarantee, AKC registration applications, pictures, and information about the parents.

Limited Registration
We support limited registration for our puppies. Limited Registration allows you to register your puppy but not his or her offspring without a signature from us. In this way we are helping to limit irresponsible breeding. Full registration will be given only to approved breeders and for AKC competition purposes.
OFA Certification
Hip Dysplasia is a common concern in Labradors. O.F.A. (Orthopedic Foundation for Animals) does accurate evaluations of hip x-rays to determine a rating, if they pass for certification, of either: fair, good, or excellent.
Our adult dogs are OFA certified and/or have both parents certified with good ratings, and/or are mated with dogs having good OFA ratings.
Want to purchase a puppy?
We have a waiting list for our puppies. To get on the list you can place a non-refundable $100. deposit. Your choice of a puppy will be in order of "first deposit, first serve". When the puppies are born the color and gender have to be specified, then when the pups are 7 weeks old you can choose which puppy you want.

Sheila loves playing fetch and is very athletic. She is also very gentle and loves to obey. She has a blocky head, a medium English type build, and show quality. Sheila is the 4th generation of our Dunwood breeding since grandpa started the lab business in 1989. I owned her grandmother Jessica and both of her parents; Apollo and Cambry. Apollo's dad is a World Class Champion and the highest winning lab in AKC history, both his father and grandfather each were #1 Labrador in USA for more then one Year! Sheila also has many high quality Champions, BIS & BISS winners (best in show), Companion Dog, Amateur Field Champion, Junior and Senior Hunter titles in her pedigree! Sheila's parents are both OFA certified. |

Guarantee for replacement puppy is subject to the following conditions:
The puppy/dog:
- is owned by the original buyer.
- has been consistently fed high quality dog food.
- is not overweight or over-worked.
- has not been bred.
- Problem has not been contributed to by any environmental influence.
- Must be diagnosed with a strictly hereditary abnormality that renders the dog unable to function as a companion; by the time the dog is 1 year old.
- Problem must be documented by a vet, including any and all test / procedure results, x-rays, etc.
- Must be returned to Dunwood Labs unless other arrangements are agreed to.
* We also have a 30 day and a 10 day health guarantee from Pennsylvania dog laws.
